BUTTER'S STORY HAD A GREAT OUTCOME BECAUSE OF THE GOOD AND AMAZING PEOPLE WHO CAME TO HIS AIDE. BUT BUTTERS IS JUST ONE OF THOUSANDS OF ANIMALS IN POUNDS AND BACK YARDS ACROSS KENTUCKY WHO SUFFER AT THE HANDS OF IGNORANCE, POVERTY OR JUST PLAIN EVIL. PLEASE, HELP US HELP THE OTHERS LIKE BUTTERS BY SUPPORTING UR_KY PROJECTS, BY REPORTING ABUSE OR NEGLECT TO AUTHORITIES, AND BY MAKING SURE THE AUTHORITIES KNOW THAT YOU EXPECT AN OUTCOME, BY SUPPORTING STIFFER PENALTY LAWS FOR ANIMAL ABUSERS, BY SUPPORTING NO-CHAIN STATUTES, AND BY WORKING FOR LOW COST SPAY AND NEUTER AND HEALTH CARE AVAILABILITY.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL.
BUTTERS
Butters story began when he was delivered to a Louisville, KY vet severely emaciated (see photo right). It was quickly determined that besides being starved, his intestines were clogged with scarring and plastic. Bev Watson, a wonderful rescuer and URKY member contacted us for help. She and others went to work, funds were raised, Butters had his surgery. It was touch and go but this guy has fortitude! Ultimately wonderful fosters were found, who eventually adopted Butters. He is doing great, but is still being monitored for any issues. Again, thank you all who saved Butters' life. Thank you.
